A drive by the intersection of Hennepin and Washington in downtown Minneapolis left many wondering if a tower was ever going to occupy the vacant dirt at this, one of the most traveled intersections in the city. In a testament to the developer’s persistence, the picture just became clearer when RBC reportedly agreed to take 310,000 to 370,000 square feet. Four Seasons Hotels had also previously committed to occupy a considerable portion. That would seem to leave just a few floors to build condominiums or perhaps more office space in the 33-story United Properties proposal.
The clock is ticking, however. According to the MSP Business Journal, “The city granted United Properties several extensions, and the firm now has until the end of the month to sign a development agreement.”
