As the pandemic fueled record apartment demand, developers responded by increasing construction across Kansas City, Missouri. Through the second quarter of 2023, more than 18,000 new apartments have been built there since 2020. This is higher than the previous average, as 3,300 apartments were built annually from 2013 to 2019.
