Development 65, LLC breaks ground on senior living facility in Bloomington on Friday, August 16 at 3:00pm.
The facility will provide 166 units of independent living, assisted living, memory care, and care suites. The facility is expected to open late 2020.
Robert Zakheim and Robert Wall are the principals of Development 65. They intend the facility to supply the pent-up demand for senior living in the area with a first-class product, optimal mix of unit types, and high-quality resident care by an experienced management team. The ground breaking comes after many years of developing this property, garnering city support through tax increment financing, and organizing a strong team to deliver.
Minneapolis-based Weis Builders is the general contractor on the 195,000 sq. ft. project located at 8715 Portland Ave S. in Bloomington, MN. William Sealy Architects is the architect of record. The $37 million project is being funded by Old National Bank and Crown Bank. Upon opening, Minneapolis-based Great Lakes Management will operate the facility.
