Davis announced that Principal Mark A. Davis and Davis-developed CityPlace Medical in Woodbury have been named Finalists in Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ (HREI) magazine’s annual, national
awards program.
The HREI Insights Awards™ are the only national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in the areas of healthcare real estate (HRE) development and executive leadership. The awards are presented by HREI magazine, the first and only national magazine entirely devoted to covering HRE development, financing and investment.
Jill K. Rasmussen, principal of the national healthcare real estate (HRE) development, property management, brokerage and investment firm, said the Davis team is proud that Mr. Davis is being honored as an HREI Awards Finalist.
“Mark has been an owner and principal at Davis for more than 30 years and under his leadership, our team has leased, developed and/or acquired more than 7 million square feet of medical space,” says Ms. Rasmussen. “Mark also has become well known as an expert on healthcare real estate in the Upper Midwest and has opened offices in five states to serve a growing list of satisfied healthcare clients.”
Mr. Davis noted that the new Davis-developed CityPlace Medical is benefiting consumers, as well as the facility’s tenants, including anchor tenant Minnesota Gastroenterology (MNGI).
“We’re proud that we helped Minnesota Gastroenterology identify an ideal location for their new clinic that offers optimal access and visibility,” says Mr. Davis. “CityPlace Medical in the beautiful, mixed-use CityPlace development is convenient for consumers in Woodbury, as well as Western Wisconsin and the entire east metro area. It’s also helping MNGI retain and increase its strong client base.”
In just the past five years, Davis Principal Mark A. Davis has led the development of more than 20 medical office buildings ranging in size from 10,000 to 150,000 square feet totaling over $250 million in development costs, and completed 20 investment transactions totaling more than $400 million.
In addition to development and acquisition activities, the firm currently provides property management services to 53 medical office buildings totaling 2.6 million square feet.
Mr. Davis is a frequent guest speaker at conferences, a judge at industry competitions, a mentor to junior brokers and a financial supporter of a number of charitable causes. His firm has won numerous national, regional and local development and executive leadership awards, including being named NAIOP Broker Team of the Year in 2015.
