Colliers Recruits Vargas to Oversee SoCal Markets

Colliers International has recruited Joseph Vargas to serve as its market leader for the Southern California region. As senior managing director in its El Segundo, CA office, Vargas will focus on winning new business and recruiting and retaining staff while overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm’s offices across the Greater Los Angeles markets.
Vargas is well-established in the Southern California real estate scene, having previously served as the president of Cushman & Wakefield’s West Region and as an executive vice president with Lee & Associates.

NKF Adds Bergeson as Managing Director

Alex Bergeson has joined Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) as a managing director to handle landlord agency office leasing, tenant representation and investment sales.
Bergeson joins NKF from CBRE, where he began his career in 2012 as a research and valuation analyst before transitioning into brokerage as an associate, overseeing a 1.5 million-square-foot office landlord agency portfolio on behalf of institutional ownerships. Throughout his career he has executed more than 120 lease transactions valued in excess of $80 million and approximately $170 million of investment sales.

Resnick Promotes Greenberg to Exec. Managing Director

Jack Resnick & Sons has promoted industry veteran Brett Greenberg to executive managing director of leasing. Greenberg, who joined the firm in 2010, will manage all aspects of leasing and marketing for Resnick’s office, retail and residential portfolios, comprising 6 million square feet of commercial space and 900 apartments.
Greenberg succeeds Dennis Brady, who is retiring after 40 years with the company. Resnick has hired Adam Rappaport from Thor Equities to serve as a managing director of leasing, filling Greenberg’s prior role and taking on responsibility for the firm’s 3 million-square-foot Downtown and Midtown South portfolio.

Greystone Real Estate Expands Multifamily Team
