Jacksonville, Florida, may not be the largest industrial market in the South, but it’s fast becoming one of the most important. Situated at the top of the Florida peninsula, the market is within a day’s drive to the major regional industrial hub of Atlanta. Also, with rail service via CSX and Norfolk Southern and four deepwater marine terminals serving dozens of ocean carriers, Jacksonville is emerging as a strong contender in the logistics race. Additionally, it has some of the best intermodal connections in the Southeast U.S. But one of its biggest potential future impacts will be on the industrial sector in Orlando.
