Houston Leads Nation for Industrial Demand

Over the past year, 40 million square feet of industrial space was absorbed in Houston, the highest amount out of all U.S. metropolitan areas. The strong absorption, the difference between move-ins versus move-outs, has compressed the vacancy rate to three-year lows to now stand at 5.7%. In turn, rents have accelerated at their fastest pace in 22 years and have grown by more than 6% year over year.
