First Six Months Point to Neither Boom nor Bust Year for Houston’s Job Market

The Houston region added 5,400 jobs in June, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which, when looking back at the historical average over the past 20 years, excluding 2020, is about half the number of new jobs typically seen in a given June.
